Dr. Geo II feature requests

ckhung
Hi Hilaire, I downloaded the latest version DrGeo.app-11.03.1.zip
and tried to construct a parabola. As I can't rememeber or find
the right place to report bugs/feature requests in the wiki page,
I am posting them here.

1. In the old drgeo (the one written in C/C++) one can
click on the point tool once, and then each click afterwards
will generate a new point until the tool is changed. Is there
a way to configure for this behavior? (instead of having to click
on the point tool each and every time before creating a new point)
2. In the old version, there is a message showing what drgeo expects
you to do next when you are halfway thru a construction step.
That is very helpful for novices. For example, the user is reminded
to choose an independent point and then reminded to choose a dependent
point while creating a parametric curve. Can you do that in the new version?
3. The parabola looks strange.

Thanks for filing the requests and cheers for your wonderful creation!

Hello Chao-Kuei,

Reporting and hunting bugs are community activities, therefore you can
find direction about it in the Community page, link in the top bar in
DrGeo's website. I am commenting bellow about the highlighted issues:

You are welcome. I will work on this bugs/features request for the next
version.

Please post the saved figure of the parabola.
Or better append the file to the bug ticket
https://gforge.inria.fr/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=10960&group_id=1308&atid=6332

It will help to track the problem.

It will really help me if you submitted the parabola figure exposing the bug locus, even in this thread.

This one created by a macro is even more dramatic :O

It's nice to use macro again, and it's good to know
that one can even select a locus as the output.

BTW, I registered with inria and visited the bug page:
https://gforge.inria.fr/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=10960&group_id=1308&atid=6332
But I don't see a button for me to add attachment...
Maybe it's only available when one reports a new bug?

Thanks, it will be usefull. Cconcerning bugs report, after selection of
the files to upload you have to click on the "save modification" in the
top of the page. Not very intuitive, indeed!
