Yes, you are right. I am using Ubuntu 10.04 64 bits. After I send the
email to you I checked the Windows exe and it run via Wine.

I like to help, I'll try. But I doubt if I will understand what to do.

Thanks for the reply. Best regards,
Rodolfo.

Hello again, Hilaire.

Good news: the Squeak image included in the package run well in Linux 64
bits. Apparently the problem was just the script not found it. Renaming
the directory Linux-i686 to Linux-x86_64 solve it!

Regards,
Rodolfo.

I think the best solution is include in the archive a simbolic link:

    $ cd Contents
    $ ln -s Linux-i686 Linux-x86_64

With this present, the same script is valid for my system.

Regards,
Rodolfo.

Dear Rodolfo,

Yes, I though about that solution but I don't know yet if symbolic link
works within ZIP archive. It needs to be checked. Anyway we have an idea
of the solution.

Best

I have tested several available compression formats with these results:

zip, 7z do not retain the simbolic link, just create a copy.
tar.gz, lzh manage the link properly.

Another solution is to change the content of the script for the simple
command:

Contents/Linux-i686/bin/squeak Contents/Resources/drgeo.image

Maybe Squeak will display an error message in Linux incompatible systems
(if any).

Please, tell me your final decision (I am curious).

Rodolfo.
