It depends on which items you want to copy.
Let's say you want to copy a point, depending on its nature the
implication on the model is different:
- coping a free point in the plane is ok
- coping a free point on a curve, what should be the result? Should the
curve be duplicated as well?
So coping may mean to extract a subtree of the model, up to the root
free items (items without parents), then coping this whole subtree.
To achieving coping, you can also use the macro construction. But I
guess you want something more direct.
